Kayla's Class Ski Trip
Kayla's field trip was a blast! Me, Anna, Kayla and the rest of Rancho's 4th graders left the school at 5am and headed for Flagstaff. For the first part of the day we had lessons. Since they split up the adults and kids I didn't get to see Kayla very much as she was learning to ski for the first time. All I know is that is did a lot better than Anna and I. She was on the bunny hill in no time and doing great! After lunch we were able to have a few hours of free time to ski on our own. Kayla passed me over and over again. She caught on so quick! I was so nervous for her to go on the ski lift by herself. Maybe that's why I didn't do so well! LOL!!! Kayla LOVED skiing so I better get better so I can keep up next time! When we done with dinner we headed back down to Scottsdale. By the time we go home it was 10pm! We were so tired the next day. Good thing we didn't have to go to school:)
We are so blessed to have the kids in a great school. Not only are they getting a great education, they get to experience so many new things!

Party Time in honor of PRINCESS HAYLIE!
Haylie was so excited to have her friends over to celebrate her birthday.
All she talked about for months was her birthday!
She looked just like a little princess:) After I was done getting her ready she danced in front of the mirror taking it all in!
The kids played in it for 3 days and they were still sad to see it leave.
Haylie was very excited to see how her cake turned out. She said she wanted a big giant cake with all the princesses on it. As usual with the help of Grandma Anna it turned out perfect!!!
Better than Haylie imagined:)
The older girls dressed up and came out to surprise all the little girls. It was so cute to see them excited to surprise the little ones:)

New Years Eve
New Years at the Boothroyd's was quiet and peaceful minus the fireworks:)
We had Uncle Billy, Logan and Grandma Anna over for some food and fireworks.
This is the 1st year fireworks have been legal in Arizona and we sure took advantage of it. No worries or looking in the sky for the helicopters, just light and go:) We had a 2 hour firework show thanks to Billy, Logan and Jimmy. It was so stinkin cold out there but with a fire, heater, blankets and coffee we were a little more comfortable. Not enough to bring my hands out to take more pics through;)

Happy 4th Birthday Haylie!
For Haylie's Birth Day we let her decide what we did for the day:)
We started out skating at the rink and getting her private lesson from her favorite coach, Holly.
Some of the family us able to join us at Peter Piper for some lunch and that was such a treat.
Haylie loves to see her cousins so this was perfect for her. She played a ton of games and enjoyed a red velvet cupcake made by mom. Always the best when I make them....right;)
After 4 1/2 hours at Peter Piper we headed home for a nap.
Then we were off to Chili's for some more family fun. Haylie was so funny. When the waitress gave Haylie her brownie sundae she thought she was on top of the world! When I asked to take a bite she told me," The lady said this is for the birthday girl, sorry!" I did end of with a few bites but it took a lot of begging.
I think we were all pooped by the end of the day.

Christmas Day
Christmas is always big deal at our house. The kids look forward to the next year the day after Christmas! The tradition in our house is for the kids to come to our room and they have to wait for us to go see what Santa has left. We don't have the typical kids that are up at 6am begging to go out and see the presents. We always have to wake up at least one of them. This year it was James and Haylie. It was 9:00 when we decided it was time that everyone got up. James and Haylie were both begging to sleep just a little longer!
Here they are running from our room to see!

After that we head to the living room to see if Santa filled the stocking.
Yep, he sure did! And he drank the milk and had a few cookies.
That always puts a smile on the kids face:)

James: remote control car

A new family tadition has started this year. Crab legs for Christmas dinner!
Now that's a tradition worth staring,right!!!
Grandma Anna, Uncle Billy, and Grandpa & Grandma Cox joined us for dinner and it was FANTASTIC!!! We ate crab till we almost exploded.
We couldn't have asked for a better one this year!
Time with the ones we love made is just perfect:)
Merry Christmas,
